Waterway Canvass Feb. 4: Skokie/Lincolnwood

As a grassroots campaign, we believe in talking to the voters who are most affected by the decisions of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.

That includes residents who live near the canals and rivers of the Chicago Area Waterway System, where combined sewer outflows (dumps of raw sewage into the water) have a direct impact on property values, quality of life, and human health.

Join us in reaching out to voters along the sanitary canals -- not just to ask for their vote, but to let them know that there is an agency responsible for water quality, and that they have a voice in its leadership and direction!

All canvassers work in pairs or small groups, and first-time canvassers will be partnered with an experienced canvasser or one of the candidates. (Yes, our candidates knock doors with you!)

Canvasses run for approximately four hours, including a half-hour training/warm-up at the staging location and a half-hour recap/decompress after knocking doors. Please be prompt, so that we can end our trainings and hit the streets on time!
